Match Events was founded in 2001 with the goal of using technology to bring people together for Dating, Business, and Friendship.
We strive to make it easier and more enjoyable than ever before to build meaningful relationships throughout your life.
8minuteDating was launched in 2001 and quickly become the leader in speed dating events. We've hosted thousands of events in cities across the USA and internationally, with hundreds of thousands of participants. Our events have been featured in numerous TV networks and print publications. We're proud to have helped so many singles find love in their lives.
In 2004, we identified the need for a more efficient way to meet people at events. NetworkingMatch enabled event attendees to view each other's profiles before the event, identify who they wanted to meet, and efficiently arrange meetings. "Business Week"vmagazine credited our innovation of "applying speed dating concepts to the corporate world", and the "New York Times" Business Section also profiled our innovative services.
As Facebook was gaining popularity, we thought that it seemed more like a nonstop high school reunion than a way to connect with each group of people in our actual lives. CommunityClick enabled users to have one site for all the groups that make up our lives. The site did not catch on, it needed something more
In 2013, we had a great idea: Combine the best of NetworkingMatch and CommunityClick into ONE site, where people can Create or Join ALL their Groups and Events, use one Profile that can be modified for each group, make the site mobile friendly, automate it with real-time event functionality for any activity they want to arrange, and integrate Social Networking and Contact Management functionality so people can establish and build quality connections with each of their Groups and Events. The result is Shmoozfest.
We hope that Shmoozfest helps you build lots of valuable relationships in all the groups that make up your life!
